Mel is co-founder and manager of A Little on the Side.
Mel adds the sounds of Earth Wind & Fire
and Marvin Gaye with his outstanding lead vocals. Originally from
Oklahoma, Mel has lived in Southern California since 1974. He has been
a singer since the age of 17, learning to play piano at 20 and studying at
the Dick Groves School of Music. His favorite venue was performing at
the Horseshoe Casino in Memphis, Tennessee. Mel is especially proud of
performing with Al Wilson on a regular basis. Mel credits Joe Sample,
the Temptations and Earth Wind & Fire with providing his early musical
inspiration.

We are happy to be working with Mike again.
Michael has lived in Colton, CA all his life and has been
playing drums as long as he can remember. He brings a special charisma

Percussion |
|
Ricky adds color with his assortment of rhythm accessories.
Richard is a lifelong Colton resident and longtime local
musician and friend. Not all our venues have room for a full
percussion set, but when we have a little more space, like at Lake Alice,
Ricky's exciting rhythms add a lot to the mix. Ricky also has a
special talent for working with the rhythm section to enhance the music, not
compete with other instruments.
He brings the happy beats!!!
